HENDRA VIRUS VACCINATIONS At the Council meeting held on Tuesday 26th November a motion was passed by Council in regard to Hendra Virus vaccinations please see below: “That all horses attending State Championships and State run events (ie. State Camp) must be vaccinated against Hendra virus and applications must include a copy of their current vaccination certificate from the 1st of January 2014.” Please circulate this to all members who intend participating at State Championships and events so that they can follow up with their Veterinarian. The office will be in contact with Zoetis to see if we can come to some arrangement to help offset the costs and will keep you advised as soon as possible. 2014 STATE CAMP SELECTIONS The 2014 Pony Club NSW State Camp riders have now been selected. Congratulations on those riders who have been selected and for those riders who missed out this time please be encouraged that we had many applications and the selection committee had a difficult task, so do try again next year. Reserves will also be notified in the mail. All the selected riders are listed on our website. These riders should recieve paperwork in the mail over the next few days including the forms that must be returned along with payment to ensure your position at State Camp before the 9th December 2013. Alternatively you can download the forms from the website and send in. If we have not received your forms by this date your invitation will be withdrawn and the next candidate will be invited to attend. All riders must also be financial for the 2014 year, please ensure that you have paid your membership affiliation to your club, signed a risk warning, and that the club has sent in this affiliation to the State Office before the 9th December 2013. All horses attending camp must be microchipped and vaccinated against Hendra Virus all riders will need to provide a copy of your Hendra Vaccination Certificate before the 9th December 2013. CLOSURE OF OFFICE OVER CHRISTMAS BREAK
The State Office will be closed over the Christmas period from Thursday 18th December until Monday 6th January 2014. The Executive Officer will periodically check emails and phone messages however if you have any queries relating to State Camp during this time these should be addressed to the State President Dianne Cullen on 02 4842 7265 or the Chairman of the Chief Instructors Committee Jenny Frankum on 02 4653 1336.
